What are my ONLY 2 Estate Planning Choices? (Video)

As with many things, you have two choices when it comes to estate planning.

Hi. I’m Gary the owner of DeWitt law. We take care of you every step of the way so you can care for your family. Start now at DeWitt dot law.

First you can do nothing. Most people don’t give a second thought to who will make their decisions if they can’t.

Without a plan:
Decisions will be made without your input!
You don’t decide who gets what, when, how, and how much…the State does.
You don’t decide who manages your personal, legal, financial and healthcare choices…the State does.

If you do nothing, you expose you and your family to the trials and tribulations of Probate and Guardianships. You lose control to the state through a Judge. The Judge gets to call the shots using State Law.

The State has already decided who gets what, when, how, and how much. It takes Probate. Your family can expect Probate to last at least 8 months. If you have step children you wanted included, too bad. The State has already decided that only blood relatives get your stuff. If you don’t have children, then it goes first to your parents, then siblings, and on and on. Your spouse only gets a fraction of what you had. Not to mention the high financial cost of Probate.

Second you can create an estate plan.

If you plan you save your family worry, anxiety, time, and money. You maintain control. You get to choose who will make your decisions. You get to pick who gets what, when, how, and how much.

If you don’t plan in time, then it is the same as not planning at all. And none of us know when that time will be.

Either estate plan or don’t plan. The choice is yours.

Planning leads to certainty, order, and peace of mind. Planning saves time and money.

Not planning costs confusion, chaos, money, time, and anxiety.
